The Price of a Woman's Life: A Discussion on Human Trafficking (Vancouver)

Amnesty International presents a screening of the film Avenue Zero: A Film by Helene Choquette. Featuring candid interviews with victims, witnesses, and perpetrators, the film portrays human trafficking flourishing internationally in the shadows of the law. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the issue of assistance and protection for victims of human trafficking in Canada.


Confirmed Panelists:

Judith Boer; Vancouver refugee and immigration attorney at Elgin, Cannon and Associates

Laya Behbahani, Student and Policy Analyst and SFU Masters' student. 

The event will take place in the Peter Kay and Alma Van Dusen rooms at the VPL Central Branch. 

Light refreshments will be served.
