Summer Outreach 2008 Report
While most people were enjoying their vacations, our volunteers have been working hard at a number of summer festivals recruiting Change Makers and spreading the word about the "We Can" campaign.
We had displays at Commercial Drive Festival, Surrey Fusion Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Latin Summer Festival, Pemberton Festival and many other events!
Thank you all who staffed the tables in heat and dust, and tirelessly promoted the campaign.

April 25th, 2008 - SFU Harbour Centre MEN SPEAK UP
The Hon. Wally Oppal and other high-profile leadership men from across BC came together to speak out about violence against women in this new film that was launched on April 25th. The film combines news footage from recent cases of domestic violence homicides in BC with short interviews about the importance of men speaking to other men to challenge societal attitudes about violence against women. The BC Association of Specialized Victim Assistance and Counselling Programs produced this DVD and is a partner of the "We Can " Coalition. Many members were present to show support.
