Change Maker Leadership Institute - Feb 21, 2021
The success and energy from the January session carried right through this event. This Institute was hosted and lunch was provided by the Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS) in Surrey, BC.
Twenty participants representing a diverse spectrum of organizations and groups including media and labour, were fully engaged in highly energized discussion about violence against women and what approaches we can all take individually and collectively to end it.
Facilitators for this event were Sophie Nguyen (“We Can” Campaign Assistant), Amerdeep Sall (LCES Intern & “We Can” Volunteer), Edward Quinlan (“We Can” Volunteer), and Terry Rogocki (Oxfam Canada Regional Steering Committee Member & Leadership Facilitator).
Feedback from the participants:
“…it would be great to have many opportunities like this for others so we can share this great info.”
“Absolutely know that I have to seize more opportunities to speak out e.g. letters to the editor etc.”
Please contact Sophie at [email protected] if you would like to host the next session.
